Education

The Assyrian Foundation of America (AFA) is dedicated to preserving and promoting Assyrian language, culture, and history through strategic educational endowment, humanitarian contributions, and cultural initiatives. Central to this mission, AFA provides support to Assyrian students globally as they pursue higher education, made possible through the generous donations of members committed to our shared vision of empowering the next generation.

AFA has two main priorities, one, to support Assyrians living in regions where there are scant resources with which to pursue an education. Two, to support Assyrian students in the field of Assyrian studies including history, language, art, or culture.    Scholarships range from $1000 to $5000 per academic year.

Please consult the “Scholarship Program Guidelines” which  provides detailed information on the program's purpose, eligibility criteria, application requirements, and important deadlines.

Eligible applicants must download and complete the "Application Form." Once filled out, please submit the form along with all required documents listed in the application checklist to the Education Chair at education@assyrianfoundation.org by March 31.  Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered only if there are remaining funds.
